Yun YANG
Yun Yang is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong in 2017, where he focused on power electronics control and its applications in microgrids under the guidance of Prof. Siew-Chong Tan and Prof. Shu Yuen Ron Hui. From 2017 to 2020, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the same research group, specializing in wireless power transfer. In 2020, he was appointed as an Honorary Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Hong Kong. He subsequently worked as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2020 to 2022.
Dr. Yang’s research encompasses power electronics, wireless power transfer, energy storage technologies, and smart grid systems. He has published over 100 technical papers, including more than 50 prestigious journals. Dr. Yang is a member of the IEEE Society and has served as an Associate Editor for several journals, a committee member, and a session chair at various international conferences and seminars.
